The Headbox

• The headbox spreads pulp and water mix evenly over the moving wire.

  • The pulp-water mixture containing the added fibers, coloring material and size is diluted with water to make ìslurryî containing _ % to 1 % of cellulose fibers.
  • The headbox must maintain the uniform delivery of dispersion of fibers across the width of the machine.
