This website was created by Paulette Marty, the dramaturg for this production, and her student assistant Emily Candelario. A dramaturg is a theatre collaborator who helps the artistic team enhance the audience's experience of a production. A dramaturg's duties vary from one production to another and may include: assisting the artistic team with research (on historical topics and contemporary issues), helping a director develop his/her concept, helping directors edit older texts that are out of copyright, creating performance guides and lobby displays, and helping playwrights develop new plays.
