fulfillment.
Among these texts are fiction and nonfiction, classic and

SCRIPT-
You are becoming fluent
readers and by now, you are determining the types of stories that you like or
that put you to sleep! But if I say to
you, "Find and read a book of historical fiction", would you know
what that is or a title to choose from?
We know there are fiction and
nonfiction, prose and poetry. Yet within these broad categories, there are
types or genres of each. I want you to be aware of the types or genres in
fiction.
I'll list some on the

Sometimes, books could be a
combination of two genres or fall in between, but this will help you when looking
for a book to read. For example, if you know you don't like fantasy, then you
won't read THE INDIAN IN THE CUPBOARD.
This list I will be giving you is just a jump-start as you look for
books. As you encounter more titles, add them to your list by the genre.
