1. RD is created by exposure to a contingency. The contingency MAY or MAY NOT produce RD. |
2. RD exists when the subject, when performing the baseline amount of the instrumental activity, is unable to obtain access to the baseline amount of the contingent activity. |
3. The "reinforcement effect" is an increase in the amount of the instrumental activity to recover the lost amount of access to the contingent activity. |
