Bio: This fall, I begin my seventh year at Appalachian State University, where I am a tenured Associate Professor in the Department of Mathematical Sciences. My research concerns probability theory and its applications to random polynomials and random matrices. If you can't find me teaching or working on math research, I am almost surely fiddling, making pottery, or (b/h)iking.
