App State’s Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Fine Art Photography will nurture your personal aesthetic vision through photographic expression. Through this program, you will study the theoretical and practical skills needed to create thought-provoking and meaningful images.
The Fine Art Photography concentration is designed to develop your perception of photography as a visual language, as well as to provide you with the technical and formal skills you need in order to express your ideas.
You will integrate photography into a larger, interdisciplinary artistic practice through studio art electives and seminars, and focus on developing a personal voice within the medium while examining how images function in contemporary culture.
You’ll graduate with a strong balance of technical skills, critical and conceptual thinking, and a broad knowledge of the medium of photography, which will open up numerous career paths.
