Physics is the basis for modern technology, as well as for the tools and instruments used in medicine, engineering, manufacturing and other sciences. Students in App State’s Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Physics degree program receive the guidance and instruction to harness these concepts.
You will examine the theories around energy and matter. You’ll become familiar with the smallest subatomic particles, as well as atoms, molecules and the largest stars and galaxies in the universe.
Whether you choose to continue on to graduate school or pursue a career in industries such as computing, engineering, biotechnology, nanotechnology or statistics, you will be equipped with the necessary knowledge, technical training and problem-solving skills to handle many challenges.
What’s more, fields related to science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) are projected to experience much faster job growth than non-STEM fields, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. In addition, this program’s language requirement also opens doors for high-demand positions in the global marketplace.
