Looking for a chance to get into the College GameDay pit? Spend a September night under the stars on Sanford Mall and claim your spot for a chance to be one of the 500 who will be on-camera during Saturday’s show! (Sleeping bags only - no tents, chairs or coolers, Plemmons Student Union restrooms will be open overnight)
Students and employees: be sure you have relocated your vehicle if it's parked in restricted tailgate lots - towing begins at 4 a.m. Saturday.

All prizes can be applied to current (2022-23) or next (2023-24) academic year.
All Winners should be available to go on the field during the App State vs. Troy University game beginning at 3:30 p.m. Winners will be provided with a gameday ticket and field pass.
The names, images and poster images of all 21 prizewinners will be used for App State and ESPN College GameDay publicity.
The Grand Prize is the cost of in-state, undergraduate tuition and fees for the 2022-23 academic year OR the 2023-24 academic year. App State’s Student Accounts team will reach out to the Grand Prizewinner to assist in applying the tuition and fees credit.
Any prizewinner who has a financial aid package with App State will be contacted by the university’s Financial Aid Office to assist in applying applicable winnings to their aid package.
All prizes are subject to any applicable state and federal tax regulations.
For the purposes of this contest, the terms “Tuition and fees” and “Free Ride” are defined as the cost of in-state, undergraduate tuition and fees for the 2022-23 academic year OR the 2023-24 academic year. “Dining Dollars” refers to a gift card to be used at any App State Campus Dining retail locations. Dining Dollars may be used by any member of the general public.
No purchase of any sort is necessary to participate in the poster contest.
All participants must be at least 18 years old to be eligible to win the poster contest.
To be eligible to win the grand prize, participants must be at least 18 years old and must be academically eligible for enrollment at App State.
Regular campus permits are required for students and employees on Friday, Sept. 16. Game Day permits are required for Saturday, Sept. 17. Review the Parking Information for Football Game on Saturday, Sept. 17 notice for further details.
Visitors to campus may park in the Rivers Street Parking Deck from 7 a.m. - 5 p.m. for a fee. Prepayment is required via the AMP Park app.
Public parking is available in downtown Boone at various locations.
