Branding

As a student of graphic design at Appstate University, I engaged in numerous branding projects ranging from theoretical company brand guidelines, to working with the senior graphic design class to brand their exhibition at the Smith Gallery.

Senior Studio Branding

Project Outline:

Develop all assets for the Senior Studio exhibition including wall vinyl with show title and names of participants as well as project descriptions for each exhibit, takeaways, posters, instagram posts.

Deliverables:

  1. A collective takeaway such as a postcard, bookmarks or stickers
  2. Wall vinyl w/ show title and all participant names. Also include project names
  3. Additional wayfinding signage for Smith Gallery
  4. 12” x 18” Promotional poster separate from the takeaway limited to ONE COLOR
  5. 3-5 social media graphics for Dept. Instagram

Social Impact Branding

Project Outline:

Identify a current issue impacting society or a specific community. What service(s) could they, your audience, benefit from? How might you develop a branded organization that will serve your community? You are not developing a product. Rather, you are creating a visible face or brand that visually communicates its values and will serve your audience's concerns.

Deliverables:

  1. 15 logo marks sketched, critiqued, choose three finals to render digitally must work in limited color, b/w and knockout
  2. Create color palette with hex, Pantone, RGB values + custom color names
  3. If applicable, create a texture or pattern that fits your organization think about the applications which it could be used in
  4. Art direct and produce a series of 10 images that tell the story of your organization. These can be royalty free + Creative Commons open photos
  5. Choose a typeface(s) that will act as the ORG go-to. Think about body copy, social promotions, web, and print. It must be accessible and usage on all platforms
  6. Complete design deck
