Professional Development or Continuing Education Credit
If you want to register for one or more 1-week modules for professional development or continuing education credit, you can complete registration entirely through the University’s Conferences and Institutes Website. There is no formal application process. You can select housing/meal options via this link and there are multiple options for making payment (check, credit card, etc.). Click here for more information on costs.
Please note - the registration link for our institute should be available soon on the Conferences and Institutes page. If it is not up when you visit the site, please try again in a couple of days. In choosing the non-credit option, you will receive a certificate of completion at the end of each one-week module. Each module contains 20 contact hours, so if you take both a morning and an afternoon module, you can get 40 hours in . If you are a practicing teacher, please check with your school district regarding how many credits you can be awarded for each module. This differs with each district. If you choose the non-credit option, keep in mind that you cannot apply the professional development credit you received to one of Appalachian’s Certificate or MA programs later on. |
