June 23, 2012 is the one hundredth anniversary of the birth of Alan Turing, and numerous observations are being planned for 2012. As part of the celebration, the AMS (American Mathematical Society) and the ASL (Association for Symbolic Logic) are sponsoring a joint special session on The Life and Legacy of Alan Turing on January 4-5 at the Joint Mathematics Meetings in Boston Massachusetts.
