Brian Zimmer

Brian is a volcanologist teaching in the Geological and Environmental Sciences department at App State. Field works has taken him around the world; from the arid plains of Africa to the small villages of southern Mexico to the verdant hills of the Japanese Alps. He started bringing students to Iceland in 2012. Brian has a strong background in wilderness travel and expedition planning. Please contact Brian for additional course information.

Scott Marshall

Scott also works in Geological and Environmental Sciences using fundamentals of physics, mathematics, geology, and computer science to learn about how the Earth deforms in response to tectonic stresses. He has organized and led field trips for students all across the US and has done significant field work in the Spanish Pyrenees.
