Costs for 2010 Summer Institute on campus at Appalachian:

In-state tuition and fees for graduate courses (2010): 
for one 3-hour course: $ 519.13 + Institute Fee* of $330 = $  849..13 
for two 3-hour courses: $  1038.25 + Institute Fee* of $330 = $ 1368.25

Note: The above refers to in-state tuition and fees for graduate courses.  Students in the undergraduate German class pay slightly lower tuition for the undergraduate course.  Out-of-state students earning academic credit can find their fees at: http://www.registrar.appstate.edu/schedules/summertuition.html

Professional Development or CE modules (2010) :  
This option does not earn academic credit.  The charges are the same for in-state and out-of-state students, and out-of-state students are very welcome!  

You register by the week: 
for one one-week module + Institute Fee*: $ 235.00 
for a second module in the same week, add $ 125.00

*The Institute Fee for one or more full courses includes registration, 15 catered lunches, and a 3-week parking pass. The Institute Fee for each 1-week module includes registration, 5 catered lunches, and a one-week parking pass. Please multiply the module rates if you wish to stay more than one week.

Housing costs for Summer 2010:  
You can add optional housing/evening meals at the following rates.  
5 nights' lodging (Sun-Thurs.) and 4 dinners (Mon.-Thurs): $ 155.00 
2 weeks including a weekend (12 nights’ lodging, 8 dinners): $ 361.00 
3 weeks including 2 weekends (19 nights’ lodging, 12 dinners): $566.00
