Join us in Summer 2010!
Summer Institute Faculty and Students at the Living/Learning Center Appalachian State University 2010 Institute Dates: July 12-July 30
Welcome to the web site for Appalachian State University's Summer Graduate Institute in Foreign Languages and Linguistics. Join us in the mountains of North Carolina for an intensive 1, 2 or 3-week institute where you can expand your content knowledge, practice your target language, and get new ideas for teaching.
The institute offers graduate-level courses in French, Spanish, and FL methods, and an undergraduate course in German. Full 3-week courses can earn academic credit; one-week modules within each course are flexible options for those needing a shorter stay. See About the Institute for more information on the course credit options. Download a printable brochure on the Summer Institute.
Low-cost on-campus housing and meals are available for each week, with or without a weekend stay. The Institute includes a daily catered lunch where participants can practice their target language in an informal setting. Evening events are also planned, including cultural events offered through the Appalachian Summer Festival.
Come join us for a beautiful and enriching summer in the mountains! For more information on any aspect of the institute, please follow the links to the left, or contact Dr. Beverly Moser.
